We currently have two roles available within our Trimble GeoSpatial division which is developing, assembling, maintaining and supporting land mobile mapping systems in Brossard, Canada. The land mobile mapping systems are integrating georeferencing technologies -GNSS, inertial measurement units, DMI- with digital cameras, laser scanners and other sensors. The system is accompanied by software allowing to register data and to post-process the laser and camera data together with the georeferencing information.

Job Title: Technical Support Representative 

Description:  The technical support has the responsibility to help with assembling the system, install and train it at customer side and give customer support. The main focus of the job opening is the installation and training of the mobile mapping system in-house and at customer side.

Objectives:

•           Must be able to multi-task and have the ability to prioritize daily workload

•          Installation and training (hardware, software) for land mobile systems in-house and at customer sides

•           Readiness to travel even on short notice and up to 50% of overall working time

•           Willingness and ability to learn handling the software to capture data and process it in all details

Job Title: Technical Support Manager

The Technical Support Manager will lead a team providing system assembly and installations and supporting clients of land mobile mapping systems in Brossard and help with assembling the system, install and train it at customer side and give customer support. The main focus of the job opening is the management of the support team.

Objectives:

•           Oversee technical support engineers who assemble, install, support and train land mobile mapping systems world-wide

•           Set team and individual goals and focus team on reaching them

•           Well-developed organizational and interpersonal communications skills

•           Must be able to manage and prioritize project and open case queues

•           Project management with complex projects and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

•           Assist onsite on land mobile mapping system installation (Hardware, Software)

•           Willingness and ability to learn handling the hardware and software to capture data and process it in all details

 

Job Qualifications

•           High School Diploma Required. AA or BA degree in geoinformatics, computer science or technical related field

•           Well-developed organizational and interpersonal communications skills

•           Strong customer support orientation

•           Highly motivated, success oriented and detailed in work practice

•           Languages: English and French spoken and written

•           Willingness to travel even on short notice
